Poverty is a Numbers Game...
Today is day two of our poverty unit. Students will be using a lot of math today. There will be a lot of statistics and graphs being done. Students will be looking at different statistics, percentages, and graphs dealing with poverty. Today there will be a PowerPoint presentation that will present some of the statistics and graphs about homelessness and poverty. Students will use the information and numbers they learned in the PowerPoint to make different graphs. They will have to use a bar graph, pictograph, and pie chart to represent three different statistics they learned. Articles we will be getting some of our statistics from: https://www.dosomething.org/facts/11-facts-about-homeless-teens http://www.bread.org/hunger/us/facts.html |
